Providing Decades of
Professional Upholstery Service
D & N Upholstery has been taking care of clients for more than 50 years, providing quality upholstery services throughout Southeastern Michigan and Northwest Ohio. For generations, people have trusted D & N Upholstery with their prized furniture items, classic cars, boats, and more.
As a family business that has grown through two generations, the family values and dedication to customer satisfaction drives the business success.
Upholstery Repair with Long-Lasting Value
Recycling is important to everyone at D & N Upholstery. Re-upholstering a quality-built piece of furniture prevents it from ending up in the landfill, and gives it new life for many more years. The experts at D & N also believe in recycling materials throughout their build process – saving old and excess foam to be recycled into other products, and measuring and categorizing fabric remnants to be used on other projects or for resale.
“We believe in providing a quality product for a good dollar value. I want to make sure our customer is getting something that will last a long time,” said Dave Bailey.
Because of the dedication to quality work, excellent customer satisfaction, and affordable pricing, the furniture upholstery shop stays busy with a regular production schedule of repairs that are delivered on time.
“I learned this trade from my father, and started in this business back when I was 12 years old, pulling staples and learning the basic tasks while moving up through the advanced upholstery skills.”
Dave is experienced in all facets of the business, re-covering everything from baby buggies to convertible tops to coffins and everything in between. With over 32 years of experience, he enjoys taking old things and making them look new again.
He is proud to have built this business to the respected service it currently is; while teaching the skill to others who are motivated to provide quality upholstery services to customers throughout Southeastern Michigan and Northwest Ohio.
Furniture Upholstery Specialist
“I’ve enjoyed sewing since I was 8 years old, when my Grandma gave me an old treadle sewing machine. In high school, I took every sewing class I could, and won a few competitions. I learned the basics of upholstery from Grandma, recovering my first chair when I was 15 years old.”
Amy Decker started working at D & N Upholstery in 1986, and has made a career of providing quality custom sewing for furniture upholstery.
“I like the personal satisfaction of taking a bare frame and making a beautiful piece of furniture out of it. I strive for perfection to make your pieces look great!”
Car and Boat Specialist
“I love the diversification of the services we provide. There is always a new and different project to work on, with the end result of creating something that I would be proud of providing to the customer.”
Mark Iffland started working at D & N Upholstery in 1993, and really enjoys working on car seats, headliners, and boat upholstery.
“We have a lot of regular customers who trust us for their furniture upholstery, and I like making something old become new again, and seeing the pleasure in the customer’s eyes when they see their beautiful piece of furniture that we know will last for decades.”
